READING I am at 4A for my reading E-astle, and I would like to be at 5B.
- to do this I have to think carefully and make use of prior knowledge. Also:
- Make inferences.
- find, select and retrieve information.
-I will do guided reading sessions with your reading group to make sure you are understanding what you are reading.

WRITING I would like to get to 5A by the end of the year.
I will do this by:
-I write my own stories at home, so keep writing them. Practise makes perfect.

MATHS My overall goal for maths is to be more open and ready to learn. Don’t just immediately think, ‘I can’t do this.’ It is not the way to go.
I will do this by:
- make an effort to think logically.
- look at the question in a different
perspective.
- practise makes perfect. Also I need to work on:
-Algebra.
-Number sense and operations.
- I will check that you are confident about doing the task and if not do a mini one on one lesson.
- I will teach you the strategies and skills that are needed to move to the next level.
-I will set activities on Mathletics that will be good practice for you.
-Attach websites to the class wiki that will be good for you to practice on.
BASIC FACTS My goal is to improve from stage 5 to stage 6.
- my whole stage five is letting me down heaps. I need desperately to work on groups within 100 using fives, and halves to 100.
I will set good tasks on mathletics and follow your progress.
I will test you regularly so you know how you are going on your basic facts and get lots of practice.
ICT I am an organised person, my my computer is not. I would like to clean up my computer, put things into folders, etc.
I will do this by:
-whenever I have completed or saved my work, put it in a folder immediately.
- organise what is already messy on my desktop.
-I will give you feedback on how you are going with this goal.
-I will praise you along the way for your effort.
GENERAL be more open to learn things, take school opportunities, etc, because it could turn out for the best.

-being open to learn.
- Not being shy.

-I will look for opportunities at school to suggest you for.
